The top arm block can be moved in 10 degree increments to allow for changes to the angle at which the object is released. The smaller the release angle the higher the trajectory will be. This also has the effect of reducing the travel distance of the arm which will in turn reduce the release velocity of the object.
The release velocity of the object can be changed by adding or removing tension on the rubber band as well as changing the attachment points on the arm. The three large tabs on the front support will make large changes to the tension of the band. the small notches on the front allow for small changes in tension. The attachment points on the arm change the leverage the band has on the arm and control how quickly it accelerates.
